Small children and the Maine Coon
I'd like to share my own, and other breeder's experience. These cats even though are large, they're clever and smart. A well socialised cat will not cause any trouble if they have to live with small children.
They realise that the children are fragile and when they don't want to be near them, they go away to a quiet spot. Of course it's the family's duty to provide that spot where the cat can go.
Naturally the family must explain the child not to bother the cat.
