Cats and pregnant women
Toxoplasmosis is a parasitic infection which is caused by protista named Toxoplasma gondii. The paraside infects warm-blooded animals, humans among others too.
The protozoon's last host is the cats, or felines, the intermediate host can be human, other mammals or birds. The animals get infected via infected meat or getting in contact with cat excrement. The disease can spread from mother to fetus. It can be avoided, if we let one of our family members to clean the litter.
